Comparison
Raziel vs AngelList
AngelList runs fund administration for venture funds, SPVs and syndicates, and gives the accredited investors (LPs) in those vehicles a portfolio dashboard with valuations, returns and tax documents. Raziel is built for private markets: startups, SPVs, funds and entities, with founder tools under the same login.

Key differences
What actually sets them apart
-
One platform’s positions versus your whole private portfolio
AngelList’s LP dashboard shows the investments you made through AngelList vehicles. Raziel is a tracker that sits above platforms, so SPVs from any administrator, direct SAFEs and priced rounds, and fund commitments live in one portfolio.
-
Where the data comes from
On AngelList, valuations, returns and K-1s are produced by the platform that runs the vehicle, so there is nothing to enter. In Raziel you add positions, import a spreadsheet or forward statements and SAFEs for AI import, and record new rounds yourself.
-
Returns methodology
AngelList reports multiple and IRR net of fees and carry, with valuations delayed 90 days. Raziel calculates MOIC, IRR, TVPI and DPI from the cash flows you record and re-marks positions when you record a new round.
-
Investing versus tracking
AngelList is where deals happen: accredited investors find and join syndicates and funds there. Raziel does not offer deals or administer vehicles. It tracks what you already own and adds founder tools for fundraising, investor updates and the cap table.
To be fair
Where AngelList is strong
No tool is right for everyone. These are the areas where AngelList does more than Raziel today.
- Zero data entry for AngelList positions: valuations, IRR and K-1s appear automatically because AngelList administers the vehicle.
- Returns shown net of fees and carry, calculated by the administrator from actual contributions and distributions.
- You can find and invest in syndicates and venture funds on the same platform.
- K-1s are prepared and delivered for platform investors at no extra cost to the LP.

Switching
Moving from AngelList to Raziel
Most of the setup is importing what you already have. The Investor plan starts with a 14-day free trial.
- Keep investing on AngelList and start a 14-day Investor trial on Raziel.
- Add each AngelList position to Raziel, or import them from a spreadsheet, alongside your investments from other platforms.
- Forward K-1s, capital call notices and statements so Raziel’s AI can record the details.
- Group holdings by the LLC, trust or personal account that owns them, and invite your accountant as a viewer.
Raziel vs AngelList: questions
Which AngelList product does this page compare?
The LP portfolio dashboard that investors see after investing through AngelList syndicates, SPVs and funds. AngelList also sells fund administration to GPs and a branded Investor Portal to firms; those are different products.
Can I use Raziel and AngelList together?
Yes, and that is the common setup. AngelList shows the positions you hold through its vehicles. Raziel brings those together with investments from other platforms, direct deals and fund commitments so you see one portfolio.
Does Raziel connect to AngelList automatically?
No. Raziel does not list an AngelList integration. You can add positions in a few fields, import a spreadsheet, or forward K-1s and statements for AI document import.
Does AngelList charge LPs to use the dashboard?
AngelList does not list a separate fee for the LP dashboard, and its help center says K-1s come at no extra cost because the cost sits inside each fund’s use of the platform. Raziel’s Investor plan is $49/month through 30 companies after a 14-day free trial.
Does Raziel offer deals or fund administration?
No. Raziel is a portfolio and investor relations platform. It does not offer investments, form vehicles or prepare K-1s.
