Visible is a well-known tool for founders who send investor updates and run a raise. If you use it today and want your updates, pipeline, KPIs and cap table in one workspace, this guide walks through what moves to Raziel, what does not, and how to make the switch without missing a monthly update.
Who this guide is for
- Founders who send monthly or quarterly investor updates and track a fundraising pipeline in Visible.
- Founders who also invest and want their own angel checks, SPVs and fund positions in the same app as their company.
If you work at a venture firm and use Visible to collect KPIs from portfolio companies and report to LPs, this guide is not for you. Raziel does not offer that workflow.
Why founders switch
As of October 2026, Visible's founder plans run from a free Starter plan to $199/month billed annually, with update recipients capped by plan: 100 on Starter, 250 on Base, 500 on Core and 1,000 on Growth (Visible pricing). The free plan includes two fundraising pipelines and one data room.
The reasons founders look at Raziel are usually about fit, not quality:
- A cap table and KPIs in the same place. Raziel's Founder plan includes a Cap Table and a KPI Dashboard next to the pipeline and updates. Visible does not list a cap table.
- Simple pricing. Raziel's Founder plan is free through your first 100 contacts, then $29/month.
- Mobile. Raziel has native iOS and Android apps. Visible does not mention a mobile app on its product or pricing pages.
- A personal portfolio. Founders who also invest can track their own startups, SPVs and funds on Raziel's Investor plan.

Step by step: moving from Visible
- Export your contacts from Visible. Visible's help center explains how to export contacts: open Contacts, use the three-dot menu in the upper right and choose Export contacts to .CSV. The file includes contact details and custom properties.
- Write down your pipeline. We could not find a pipeline export in Visible's help center, so note each investor's stage and target check before you leave. Visible's pipeline guide suggests contacting their team with questions.
- Save your past updates and metrics. Keep copies of the updates you sent and a record of your metric history so you can re-enter the numbers you report on.
- Start free on Raziel. Sign up for the Founder plan and create your company workspace.
- Add your contacts and groups. Using your exported CSV, add each investor, prospect and advisor with their name, email, firm and group. Groups decide who receives each update.
- Rebuild your raise. Name the round, set the amount and target close date, then add investors to the Kanban board at the right stage: Contacted, Meeting, Diligence, Committed or Passed. Raziel adds up committed target checks against your round target.
- Set up your KPIs. Create the metrics you report, such as revenue, customers or burn, and add past data points with notes. Turn on Include in investor updates for the ones you share.
- Enter your cap table. Add founders, investors and the option pool, then model the next round by entering a round size and pre-money valuation.
- Send your next update from Raziel. Start from a blank page or an optional AI draft, embed your metrics, send a test to yourself, then send or schedule it. Resend to anyone who did not open it with a fresh subject line.
What to keep in Visible or elsewhere
Raziel does not offer data rooms, pitch deck hosting with per-slide analytics or an investor database. If those are part of your process, keep using Visible for them or pair Raziel with a dedicated data room. Our guide to Peony as a fundraising data room covers one option. Visible also offers an open API and integrations such as Google Sheets, Affinity and Zapier, so check whether anything you automated depends on them.
FAQ
Is Raziel a Visible alternative for founders?
For investor updates and a fundraising pipeline, yes. Raziel's Founder plan includes both, plus a cap table and a KPI dashboard, free through your first 100 contacts. If you need data rooms or per-slide deck analytics, Visible offers those and Raziel does not.
Can I bring my past updates into Raziel?
Not as sent updates. Keep your history in Visible or your email. Your metric history can be re-entered in the KPI Dashboard so charts in new updates show the full trend.
How do the prices compare?
As of October 2026, Visible's founder plans range from free to $199/month billed annually. Raziel's Founder plan is free through 100 contacts, then $29/month. If you also invest, the Investor plan is $49/month through 30 companies after a 14-day trial.
What should a good investor update include?
Highlights, key metrics, lowlights, asks and runway. Our investor update template guide walks through each section, and the free runway calculator helps you report runway the same way every month.
