Which Visible alternative should you pick?

If you mainly use Visible to send investor updates and track a raise, the short answer is: pick Foundersuite if you still need to find new investors, Carta if your cap table already lives there and you want updates in the same place, and Raziel if you want a fundraising pipeline, investor updates, a cap table and a KPI dashboard in one workspace that is free through your first 100 contacts. If you rely on Visible's data rooms or per-slide deck analytics, stay on Visible or pair a new tool with a separate data room, because Raziel does not offer either.

Pricing and plan details below come from each vendor's public pages as of October 28, 2026. Check them again before you switch, since plans change.

What Visible does well

It is worth being clear about what you give up. Per Visible's founder pricing, the free Starter plan includes 2 users, updates to 100 recipients, 2 fundraising pipelines and 1 data room. Base is $59/month billed annually ($69 monthly) with 250 update recipients, Core is $129/month billed annually ($149 monthly) with unlimited users and 500 recipients, and Growth is $199/month billed annually ($249 monthly) with 1,000 recipients and a dedicated support manager.

Visible includes 1 to 5 data rooms depending on the plan, and per-slide pitch deck analytics start on Core. It also offers a free database of venture investors, an open API and MCP server, and integrations such as Google Sheets, Affinity and Zapier. On security, Visible's security page lists an independent SOC 2 Type II audit, with optional 2FA and SSO on the Enterprise investor plan. If data rooms and deck analytics are central to how you raise, those are real reasons to stay.

Foundersuite: best for finding new investors

Foundersuite starts with prospecting. Its home page lists a database of 216,000 investors, including VCs, family offices and LPs, plus warm intro paths built from LinkedIn, email and calendar data. The investor updates feature covers templates, KPIs and attachments with view and duration tracking, and the data room has permissions, watermarking and view analytics.

Per Foundersuite pricing, Basic is free with up to 75 investors per pipeline, Silver is $745/year for 200, Gold is $1,069/year for 1,000 and Platinum is $1,609/year for 1,500, all billed annually. The pricing page marks the data room as a paid add-on on some plans. Foundersuite offers downloadable cap table templates but does not list cap table management.

Carta: updates next to your cap table

If your company already runs its equity on Carta, its investor relations tools let you send updates and see who read them, so they sit beside your legal cap table. Carta's Communication Center tracks engagement, but a fundraising pipeline board is not listed. Its Launch plan is free for startups with under 25 stakeholders and less than $1M raised; paid plans apply after that or when you need a 409A valuation, and their prices are not published.

If you use Visible as a VC firm

Visible has a second product for venture firms. Per Visible for investors, ops and finance teams send automated KPI requests to founders with reminders, verify the data and produce LP reports, tear sheets and benchmarking. An AI Inbox on the Premium plan extracts metrics from founder emails, PDFs and decks. Investor pricing is custom, based on portfolio size and team.

None of the tools in this article replace that workflow. Raziel does not collect KPIs from portfolio companies. Its Investor plan is built for the person or office holding the positions: angels, syndicate leads and family offices tracking their own startups, SPVs, fund commitments and entities.

Where Raziel fits

Raziel covers the core founder jobs most teams use Visible for. The Founder plan includes a Kanban fundraising pipeline with target checks, investor updates with open and click tracking, a cap table for ownership, options and dilution, and a KPI dashboard. It runs on web and on native iOS and Android apps; Visible does not mention a mobile app on its product or pricing pages. Per our pricing page, the Founder plan is free through your first 100 contacts, then $29/month.

Here is what Raziel does not do. It has no data rooms, no pitch deck hosting or per-slide analytics, and no investor database for prospecting. Its SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 work is in progress, not certified, while Visible has a completed SOC 2 Type II audit. If any of those matter to you today, factor them in.

Founders who also write angel checks can track those positions on Raziel's Investor plan, with MOIC, IRR, TVPI and DPI calculated from the cash flows you record. It starts with a 14-day free trial, then costs $49/month through 30 companies and $199/month above that.

How to choose in four questions

  1. Do you need to find new investors? If yes, Foundersuite's database and warm intro tools are built for that. Raziel and Carta assume you already know who you are talking to.
  2. Do you rely on data rooms or deck analytics? Visible and Foundersuite have them. Raziel does not.
  3. Where does your cap table live? If it is on Carta, its update tools keep everything in one place. If you want a working cap table next to your pipeline and updates, Raziel includes one.
  4. How many people get your updates? Visible caps recipients by plan, from 100 on Starter to 1,000 on Growth. Raziel's Founder plan is free through 100 contacts, then $29/month.
